My name is Leslie Parsons, D.O.. I am a solo psychiatric practitioner. I am Board Certified in General Adult Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. I have been practicing psychiatry for 28 years.
I attended medical school at Southeastern University of the Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine (currently Nova Southeastern University). I completed my psychiatric residency at the University of Florida.
I have worked in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
In addition to seeing patients, I am involved with teaching medical students from the Florida State University College of Medicine as a Clinical Associate Professor.
My particular interests within the field of psychiatry include forensic psychiatry and addiction medicine. I welcome the opportunity to work with attorneys who require psychiatric evaluations of their clients. I am also comfortable testifying in court when necessary. I am able to do both civil and criminal work. I am also available to perform Independent Medical Evaluations.
I also enjoy working with patients who struggle with addictive disorders. I have been prescribing buprenorphine for several years for the treatment of opioid dependence. I have a close working relationship with local treatment providers at nearby intensive outpatient and residential alcohol/drug treatment programs. I maintain staff privileges at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville, Georgia.
